Hearty Beef and Guinness Stew

A rich, comforting stew where beef becomes melt-in-your-mouth tender, simmered in a savory gravy with stout, vegetables, and herbs. Perfect for a cozy dinner.

Ingredients

  • 900 g (2 lbs) ground beef (or stewing beef, cubed)

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 2 large onions, chopped

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 1 liter (4 cups) beef stock

  • 250 ml (1 cup) Guinness Stout (or substitute with more beef stock)

  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 bay leaves

  • 4 carrots, peeled and sliced into thick rounds

  • 4 potatoes, peeled and diced into large chunks

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
