STAGE 2: MAKING THE LEMON GARLIC MARINADE

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, paprika, oregano, and chili flakes.
  2. Mix well until fully blended.

The zest provides strong citrus aroma while juice adds brightness.

STAGE 3: MARINATING

  1. Add chicken pieces to the marinade.
  2. Toss until every piece is evenly coated.
  3. Marinate for:
    • 15–20 minutes for quick cooking
    • Up to 2 hours for deeper flavor

Do not marinate too long, as lemon juice can toughen chicken.

COOKING METHODS

METHOD 1: PAN-FRIED LEMON GARLIC CHICKEN BITES

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add a small amount of oil or butter.
  3. Add chicken in a single layer.
  4. Cook for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.

Internal temperature should reach 74°C (165°F).

METHOD 2: AIR FRYER LEMON GARLIC CHICKEN BITES

  1. Preheat air fryer to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Place chicken in the basket in a single layer.
  3. Cook for 10–12 minutes, shaking halfway through.

The chicken should be lightly golden and juicy.

METHOD 3: OVEN-BAKED LEMON GARLIC CHICKEN BITES

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Spread chicken on a lined baking tray.
  3. Bake for 15–18 minutes, turning once halfway through.

STAGE 4: FINISHING TOUCH

  1. Add 1 tablespoon butter to hot chicken for richness.
  2. Toss gently until coated.
  3. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.
