2. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface into a large rectangle (approx. 1 cm thick). Spread the softened butter over the dough. Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar evenly over the top.
3. Roll up the dough from the long side and cut it into approximately 12 equal pieces. Grease a baking tin and place the rolls inside, leaving some space between them.

4. Cover with a cloth and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and bake the cinnamon rolls for 25–30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool briefly, decorate with icing or cream cheese frosting as desired – and enjoy!
