I have a super-fast trick for repairing holes in jackets without going to a seamstress. 🧥✨Perfect, and without a needle or thread! The quick method is in the first comment.⤵

Tip #1: Iron-on patches, the quick and reliable solution

If you had to choose the fastest method, this would undoubtedly be it. An iron-on patch is a small piece of fabric with an adhesive backing that attaches in seconds using the heat of an iron.

It is particularly appreciated because it saves jackets that are too thin to be sewn neatly, but also thicker fabrics that require good support.

How to do it?

  1. Clean the area around the hole: a clean cloth adheres better.
  2. Place the patch on the inside of the garment.
  3. Iron according to the manufacturer's instructions, pressing firmly.
  4. Allow to cool before putting on the jacket.

The result is solid, quick and often invisible if you choose a matching patch.

Tip #2: Hand sewing is perfect for small holes

Do you like precise work? This method is for you. For small holes of just a few millimeters, a tight stitch is more than enough.

The steps:

  1. Turn your coat.
  2. Using a fine needle and matching thread, gently bring the edges of the fabric together.
  3. Make small, regular stitches, then discreetly knot the thread.

This technique is very well suited to jackets made of cotton, polyester or fine wool.
